I'm Blank...

I'd love to tell you about our exciting day...only we didn't have one. We've not had one for days. So things are kind of boring around here. If you count three boys running and growling at each other as boring. Or if you count Mommy going nuts for the third time in a day as boring. Right now, SWK is "spanking" Ju Ju (it's a good thing we don't have Ju Ju completely potty trained and he has on a diaper right now!). Ooh, I've got something: they were just chasing each other down the hall and Ju Ju whacked his head on the corner (the corners are reinforced with steel i.e. drywall flakes off pretty quickly; oh yeah, and it hurts when you hit it). Everybody paused just a minute, and then Bounce gave me an "instant replay" of what happened. He also likes for me to "pause" when I'm reading a book to him. *"Crazy kids," she says under her breath.*
Ju Ju was also just making himself at home with my Diet Coke from McDonald's. Oh, yes, we put the kibosh on that behavior quickly. Like that child needs any caffeine. Only he did finish my coffee again this morning.

And in other news, SWK has become money hungry. He has realized the power of a dollar (which according to the news, it's not so powerful any more...BUY GOLD! (oh, maybe that wasn't the news!)). He is all about saving a dollar, but by golly when that dollar is in his pocket, it burns a whole in it. Of course, I'm his enabler, and I will occasionally drive him to the local Toys R Expensive place. Generally, we're trying to teach him to put 10% in a giving envelope, 10% in a savings envelope and the rest in spending. But to help him develop some saving 'sense' (I make myself laugh), we're not letting him spend it until he has at least $25 (he decided on the toy he wants, and that was the amount we settled on as our "target"). So he asks for jobs to do around the house so he can earn some money. Unfortunately, he hasn't figured out that lots of little jobs add up to a big amount. Nope, this kid comes to us with "Mommy, do you have any jobs I can do for $5?" Good grief. He even asked me the other day if maybe I wanted to get a job at Wal-mart. "Why would I ever do that?"
"You know, so you can make some money to buy some toys." Yes, we're working on that contentment problem (I'm not sure where he got that...certainly not from me *smirk*). He also got the "the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil" speech.

SWK just tackled Ju Ju and felt of his tummy. "Oh, it's fat." Great. They're listening for his heartbeat right now. These kids. They're crazy. It's great that we're homeschoolers because I'm afraid to send them out in public!!
Then they do something crazy like this, and I want to keep them little forever: Bounce made a cross out of his pretzel, and he's decided to "keep it forever because I love God."
Oh, and in case you're wondering, Ju Ju is fine, although he is a little hyped up. I forgot to say that he helped me reorganize my spice drawer today. By "reorganize" I mean that he pulled all of my spices out and located them to various parts of the kitchen while I was helping SWK with math this morning. Thankfully, that did leave me an empty drawer to wipe down. He's such a great helper.
And all that to say, I don't have much to say today.
